Who’s Sylvie Simbi?
I’m Sylvie Simbi, a singer and songwriter born and raised in Rome, Italy, to Rwandan parents. Music has always been a part of me—whether singing in church, at school, or listening to records at home. It’s been my passion for as long as I can remember, and I genuinely believe it was my calling.

In 2011, I had the incredible opportunity to appear in an Italian song that topped the pop charts. This was followed by a tour where I experienced the thrill of performing before massive crowds.
After that, I took a step back to focus on my education and professional career. I hold an MBA from Oklahoma Christian University, an MSc in Finance and Financial Law from SOAS University of London, a Master in Economic Security, Geopolitics, and Intelligence from the United Nations Association of Italy, and a BSc in International Economics, Management, and Finance from Bocconi University.
I’m also a qualified lawyer, admitted to practice in England and Wales, and currently work with international organizations.
My journey has taken me across cities like Milan, Kigali, London, and Paris, but now I’m back in Rome, continuing to share God’s love through music. Last year, I released my first gospel single, “I Worship Only You,” and now I’m excited to unveil “This Is Love,” marking a new chapter in my musical path.
Gospel music speaks to the soul—it’s more than melodies and harmonies; it carries messages of faith, resilience, and hope. I’m drawn to music with purpose, and gospel embodies that in such a powerful and authentic way. It’s not just something I sing—it’s something I live, and through it, I hope to uplift and inspire.
