Comedian Eric Omondi and digital influencer Lynne Njihia have ended their relationship.
Via Njihia’s Instagram account, she stated that making the decision was not easy but the best for her peace, growth, and future.
The influencer also noted that the split with the 43-year-old comedian was part of what she envisioned for her new life with her daughter.
“I’ve decided to end my relationship with Eric Omondi. It wasn’t easy but it’s what’s best for my peace, growth, and the future I envision for myself and my daughter. Here’s to new beginnings always. Cheers to an even greater future,” she wrote.
Despite being branded as a couple’s goal on social media, the two were criticized for their 20-year age gap, which had been a bone of contention.
Njihia’s mother had been uncomfortable with her dating a 40-year-old man, but the couple overcame the storm. The relationship has now ended, leaving fans with mixed feelings.
