Events promoter Abbey Musinguzi alias Abtex Promotions has through his lawyers Lunar Advocates dragged singer Alien Skin to courts of law demanding compensation of Shs71m.
Based on a letter shared online dated 14th August 2023, reads that Abtex and Alien Skin reached an agreement to organize a music show dubbed “Nkwakyo Festival” on the 18th of June. The show was slated to go down on the 27th of August, at Forest Park Buloba.
The letter goes on to read that they agreed Abtex to pay Alien Skin Shs100m for the event to which the former paid the latter an installment of Shs10m to his manager Musa Mawejje through his mobile money numbers.
With a few days left to the event, Alien Skin canceled the show, a move he made without informing Abtex something that has since caused him economic loss, and mental distress, and damaged his reputation as an event promoter.
Apparently, Abtex Promotions wants to be compensated Shs71m for the several expenses he had incurred to organize the event.
He has since given Alien Skin and his team only seven (7) days to respond to him from the day he received the intention to sue notice.
