Popular Ugandan kids dance group Fire K Stars bagged an accolade in the Mast The Magazine (MTM) awards 2022 event that took place the past weekend.
Fire K Stars won the accolade in the category of music and entertainment after beating competition from several other dance groups.
The win made them the first East African dance group to ever win the MTM award in the region.
Fire K Stars recently choreographed a dance music video for American singer Matt B’s song titled Get Down Mami which earned much attention from the rest of the world.
It should be recalled that Matt B has a song with Eddy Kenzo that was nominated for the Grammys Award 2023 and for that reason, the exposure that they have so far garnered from grooving to his latest jam will increase their stardom to new heights.
The MTM awards are organized by a publication servicing company based in the South West of England, the United Kingdom which was founded in 2012.
The awards were organized to mark the 10th anniversary of the company, and aimed at celebrating the excellence and achievements of the Asian, Black, and Ethnic Communities.
