Hon. Fred Mukasa Mbidde has criticized President Yoweri K. Museveni for appointing singer Mark Bugembe a.k.a Buchaman as his ghetto envoy.
Mukasa Mbidde argues that appointing someone from the ghetto as an advisor to the president is a wrong move, reasoning that such an individual is already a victim who can’t deliver practical solutions to get people out of the ghetto.
“You can’t have someone from the ghetto as an advisor because they are already a victim. That means you’re creating a cycle and corridor of disability.” – Hon. Mukasa Mbidde

He noted that if Buchaman knew about rescuing others from the ghetto, he would have left the ghetto long ago but since he is still in the ghetto he is not fit to be one.
“If Buchaman knew about rescuing others from the ghetto, he would have left the ghetto long ago but since he is still in the ghetto, that means he is not fit to be the presidential envoy on ghetto affairs.” – Hon. Mukasa Mbidde
He also believes that electing or appointing a person of disability as the leader of others with disability is wrong and envisions it as a creation of a cycle of disability.
