According to Yung Mulo, before he started making music, singer Jose Chameleone didn’t see him as an artist, but as one of his stooges.
“Chameleone didn’t see me as an artist. I was with him to organize his wardrobe, check if he had some money on him, and get him cigarettes. I was getting his clothes and car in order. I was not an artiste. The AK47s, Skeletons were the ones holding microphones,” he said during a TV interview over the weekend.
Mulo, real name Kassim Lubega, revealed that if Chameleone found his favorite car at the time, the Cadillac Escalade, dirty, it would earn him a serious scolding.
Yung Mulo left Chameleone’s Leone Island in 2012 following a disagreement with the music camp, and the singer’s late brother, AK47.
Yung Mulo, who had gone AWOL, is back in the limelight following his collaboration with trending musician Alien Skin. They released a collabo titled Vako.
Yung Mulo has organized a comeback mini-concert called the Return of Young Mulo at Chunchuz Spa, Zana on Entebbe Road on Saturday, July 22, 2023.
