Celebrated Ugandan songster Juliana Kanyomozi distanced herself from claims suggesting that she is fit to battle fellow singer Irene Namubiru.
This is after she boldly told reporters that whoever suggested that she goes into a battle with Irene Namubiru, to take a chill pill and focus on something else.
She added that she is past the league of going into music battles as she noted they’re only a thing for money making.
Please Am asking you don’t involve me in those talks of who is better than who. I think I am beyond that. I am not trying to despise anyone, but as a person, I don’t think there is anything still new to prove. However, for those who decide to do music battles, it’s fine. It is a money-making thing it is a business. So my two sisters by the way are much better today as we speak, which is good.
But I think what the audience wants is what they give you. The audience seems to love it right? I think everyone should do what they want because I can’t tell grown people what to do.
Her response about music battles has since left her critics silenced and have so far not gone ahead to pose such questions toward her.
The next move that is highly predicted to happen again is reporters looking for Irene Namubiru so that they ask the same question and get her take.
