National Unity Platform (NUP) former presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has responded to threatening reports of how he faces eviction and 2,000 others from Magere, Wakiso saying that it will end in victory for the people.
Bobi Wine responded to the matter after a lady identified as Ms Justine Nakamatte Namusisi through her lawyers of Kajeke, Maguru and Co Advocates, on various dates in June 2020 sued all the current occupants of the one-square kilometre (640-acre) mile land in Magere, Wakiso District, seeking, among others, declaratory orders for vacant possession of the suit land.
Ms. Justine Nakamatte lodged a caveat on the land on March 1, 2019, barring any performance of certain acts on the land claiming that Ms. Damalie Namaganda Kayondo who claims to be the owner of the land she inherited from her grandfather Isaaka Kasana acquired and took possession of it fraudulently and registered it on Plot 38, Block 191, in Kyadondo.

While responding to the threats, Bobi Wine noted that ever since he declared to challenge Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the 2021 presidential elections, they have filed bogus cases against him in relation to everything he owns from Busabala, Kamwokya, and now they have pounced on Magere.
He is, however, not scared by the allegation as he believes that he and the 2,000 residents will emerge victors.
Ever since I declared intentions to challenge Gen. Museveni last year, they’ve filed all manner of bogus cases against me in relation to everything I own. Busabala, Kamwokya and now Magere! Taking on a dictator is nothing easy, but I know it will end in victory for the PEOPLE
