Musician Michael Mugwanya, better known as King Michael, has finally succumbed to Sheebah- Cindy Sanyu music battle pressure and rescheduled his concert dates and venue.
Earlier, King Michael had insisted on holding his concert as he celebrates 20 years in the entertainment sphere on the same date when Sheebah and Cindy Sanyu will be in a music battle organized by Victoria University Vice Chancellor Mr. Lawrence Muagaga.
The music shows were set to happen on 15th September but following the fact that King Michael’s concert has been overshadowed, he thus coiled his tail between his legs and opted to change the date and venue.
While speaking to Spark TV on Koona show hosted by MC Ibrah K Mukasa, King Michael announced new dates and venue for his concert saying it will be happening on the 17th of September 2023 at Lido Beach.
The Muko Muko fame singer also apologized to his for the inconvenience that has taken shape saying it wasn’t his will but the atmosphere placed against him caused all the changes.
I apologize to my fans who were expecting me at Cricket Oval and Luwero on September 15 to celebrate 20 years of King Micheal. We will be at Lido Beach on September 17th. We shall have a family day. I have a lot planned for you. – King Micheal
King Michael made up the decision claiming that he has been receiving threats about his life. He added that his mom also advised him to tone down and get another venue though he is feeling the pain of making a loss of close to Shs160m that he will never be recovered.
“I met up with my mother and she advised me to get another day and venue. The pain is in losing over 160 million Uganda shillings which will never be recovered”. – King Micheal
