King Saha, botanically known as Mansur Ssemanda, the KingsLove Music Empire boss has threatened to match to parliament in demand of the copyright law amendment.

He stated that he will collaborate with some artists who believe in his cause and match to the parliament.

Musicians have, for many years, demanded that the government amend the copyright law.

This was also allegedly one of the reasons for the formation of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) that is led by Eddy Kenzo.

However, this has not been amended. The artists continue receiving promises from the government to do so.

King Saha explaines that the match to Parliament would help awaken the government to work towards the amendment of the law.

“I will organize with a few artists who believe in the cause, and we will march to that Parliament and demand for the copyright law,” he partly said.

Last year, the Shadow Minister for Arts, Hillary Kiyaga, a.k.a Dr. Hilderman, introduced the amendment bill to Parliament, and he was instructed by the Speaker to go for consultations about the same cause.

A few days ago, the “Hullo Hullo” singer denied having any ambitions of a political office maintaining that when he speaks about politics he wants justice to be served.

He wants justice in society and for the public to feel the government’s love, especially since it collects taxes from them.

“What matters most is that I don’t talk about elective politics. I speak about the needs of local people, the ones we live with in our communities. For now, I’m not aiming for any political position,” he said in part during an interview with a local television station.
