Loukman Ali elated after being shortlisted among 21 emerging filmmakers on Netflix

Celebrated Ugandan cinematographer, screenwriter, film director, producer, and Graphic Designer, Loukman Ali is delighted for having been shortlisted among the 21 emerging filmmakers on Netflix.
Loukman Ali was shortlisted among the 21 storytellers in a search that is being carried out by Netflix for the best reimagined folktales from Africa.
When the selection gets done, six finalists will be picked up and each will receive a production budget of up to $75,000 to create their short films.

When Loukman Ali got the shortlist notification, he wrote on his Facebook page rejoicing how he can now die a happy man after hitting a milestone he has yearned for a long time.

“I guess this means my writing has improved ko. I can now die a happy man knowing something I wrote got selected before I even added VFX.”
