Up-and-rising female vocalist, gospel, and soul musician Nakitto Ritah Marthar, known by her stage name Marthar Chitto, has, at last, dropped the long-awaited video for her new song with Michael Kitanda dubbed ‘Kantambule Nawe’.
‘Kantambule Nawe’ is a Luganda word translated to mean “Let Me Walk With You” and through this colorful music video, Marthar pours out her heart and ensures the love of her life that she is not going anywhere away from him.
With the deep lyrics of the song written by Marthar, the song is from her heart, ensuring her lover that she is to walk with him no matter where he is going.
When asked why she decided to release the music video on Valentine’s Day, Marthar told UG Kafunda.com that she felt like it is a perfect day to represent the true feelings of the song.
“I wrote this song from the bottom of my heart, it was actually meant to be a Gospel song but when I went to the studio, Producer Brian Beats told me to give it a little twist and that is how I was able to create ‘Kantambule Nawe’. Michael Kitanda came in and gave it a fresh feel with his saxophone so I feel like Valentine’s Day was the perfect moment for me to introduce my baby to the world, and by baby, I mean ‘Kantambule Nawe’ which is also my first official song”- she narrated.
Marthar Chitto is a church girl raised to portray her emotions and has always been singing and performing in Church.
She is also an Afro-Soul musician focused on inspiring lives and restoring hope to people through her music.
This song was produced by Brian Beats and the music video was directed and shot by Keith Enock.
