Lord Councilor 5 Kasanga, Ggaba, and Makindye East III, Mr. Ssendi Mosh, and 13 other councilors have been remanded to Kitalya prisons till next week.
Their remand followed their arrest on Thursday afternoon after they took to the streets protesting against the way street hawkers and vendors were chased away from the roadsides.
The councilors were remanded after being arraigned before the Chief Magistrate at Buganda Road Court where they were charged with inciting violence.
Before being arraigned in court, they spent Thursday night behind bars.
