Galaxy FM radio presenter DJ Nimrod has come out to claim that he started wearing condoms after visiting the Mulago Hospital HIV+ patients ward.
He says that about 20 years ago when he paid a visit to Mulago Hospital, he was made to pass by the HIV+ patients ward and what he saw there, made him develop a strong fear the sexually transmitted diseases.
He notes that from that moment, he started wearing condoms to safeguard himself adding that what he saw made him not take life for granted.
“The reason I fear HIV, leave today’s HIV just because ARVs came into the picture, taking 20 years back I visited Mulago as I had gone to visit somebody, I was made to take a stroll in the HIV+ ward, those days HIV was terrible and made people look like ghosts basically. After that visit, I decided to start putting on condoms”, Dj Nimrod
DJ Nimrod is one of the long-serving media personalities at the Kasanga-based media outlet.
He has been at the station for close to 10 years and still going strong though some of the individuals he joined with have quit the station.
