Nakawa court orders Nubian Li to vacate his house, pay Shs26m for damages caused to Rose Kayondo

On Thursday 28th, Nakawa court ordered Fire Base vice president, Twaha Bukeni Ali a.k.a Nubian Li to vacate his house in Kulambiro, Kyanja – Nakawa district.

The reason why the court-ordered Nubian Li to vacate his property is that a lady known as Rose Kayondo filed a case saying the singer bought the property from her husband Mr. Moses Kayondo unlawfully in 2011 and moved in with his family.

According to Kayondo Rose, the wife of Kayondo Moses, the husband sold their plot with a house without her consent and forged her signature.

She says she was the major contributor when they were purchasing that plot in 1998. She revealed that she raised the money by laying bricks in Kyebando.

One day when she had traveled for burial, her husband Moses Kayondo entered an agreement with Nubian Li and sold him the property without her knowing.

She thus decided to challenge Nubian Li’s buying of the property in court in 2011 and they have been battling till 2018 when the court ruled that Nubian Li bought the property unlawfully.

The court ruled that Nubian bought the land illegally and that he should vacate the house.

Nubian ignored court orders and kept in the house which he has since demolished and constructed a flat.

The court yet again ordered Nubian Li to vacate immediately, he and Moses Kayondo were ordered to compensate Rose Kayondo Shs26m in damages and her time wasted in court.
