National Theatre Rejects Request to Honor Late Evelyne Lagu’s Body

The National Theatre has reportedly rejected the request to honor the late singer and actress Evelyn Nakabira alias Evelyn Lagu.

Based on the information we are getting, the proposal to have Evelyne Lagu’s body checked in at the National Theatre for the public to pay last respect to her, seems to have been turned down.

This means that the singer’s body will continue lying at her home in Bujuuko until when it is transferred to her ancestral burial grounds in Masaka where she will be laid in her eternal resting place on Wednesday.

The decision to have Evelyn Love’s body checked in at the National Theatre had been made by her fellow celebrities including; Sophie Gombya, Bbosa Sserunkuuma, and Mesach Semakula among many others to discuss the singer’s funeral arrangements.

The meeting members agreed that Evelyn’s body to be laid at the National Theatre for a night for the singer’s fans and fellow musicians to pay their last respects.
