East Africa’s celebrated rapper Navio, born Daniel Lubwama Kigozi, has come out loud and tipped fellow Ugandan artists to take the musical challenge to Africa’s best artists.
Speaking in an interview on Sanyuka TV, Navio urged rising artists in whichever category of music they’re doing to compete with Africa’s best.
The “Ngalo” rapper went on to stress that Ugandan music is at the moment on the way adding that it is now the time to break out to the rest of Africa.
He called upon every artist to compete with the likes of Wizkid and Davido among others so that the Ugandan music industry could boom like never before.
“Ugandan music is on the way and it’s time to break out to the rest of Africa. Whatever music genre you are doing, I want you to compete with the biggest artists in Africa. You don’t need to compete against me. I am here with you, and I have dominated already. I want you to chase Wizkid and Davido because these are the guys we should be chasing. Rising artists, we are behind you 100%. Just let us know what you need and we give you a hand”, Navio.
He furthermore stressed that competing with fellow Ugandans seems useless reasoning most of the artists are at the same level thus tasking rising artists with the challenge of decrowning Nigerians.
He also hinted at how he is willing to give a hand in one way or the other to create a smooth lane for anyone willing to take on the mental.
Navio thus tipped Ugandan artists to break out to the rest of Africa’s music industry
