NEMA impounds sound equipment’s over noise pollution around Makerere-Kikoni

Uganda National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) over the weekend impounded sound equipment over noise pollution.

The government body carried out the operations around the suburbs of Kampala city where they impounded speakers, microphone among other items from places of entertainment.

The places that were raided include Makerere-Kikoni and Komamboga.

Based on the tweet that NEMA released that the offenders whose sound equipment was taken were previously served with improvement notices but continued to violate the rules.
