NTV Uganda news manager, anchor, and PWJK host Josephine Karungi is reportedly on the verge of waving goodbye to the Serena-based TV station if we are to go by reports that she landed a new job as a World Bank consultant.
Josephine Karungi who has grown through the ranks to rise to the news manager job replaced Maurice Mugisha who quit the station to take over the role of deputy managing director for state owned broadcasting media outlet UBC.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that Josephine Karungi who has worked at NTV Uganda for over fifteen years will act as a consultant assistant to Keziah Muthembwa who replaced Sheila Kulubya as the World Bank Communications’ officer in Uganda.
The development comes through after Kulubya was posted to Geneva, Switzerland as external affairs officer of the World Bank Group office.
Josephine Karungi who has been serving as the Head of News at NTV Uganda since October 2018 is widely remembered for her on and off relationship with former Swangz Avenue producer and Tourism Influencer Vince Musisi.
The two got married on 22nd December 2012 at Speke Resort Munyonyo. However, their marriage hit a snag in 2016 over allegations of gender based violence.
The pair later reconciled in 2019 and reportedly settled their differences amicably as a couple.
