Despite the negative remarks that singer Tracy Kirabo alias Pia Pounds’ “Tupaate Remix” that she did with her former boss Eddy Kenzo and MC Africa received, the song has eventually hit the one million views mark on YouTube in just a space of two months.
The song received the unpleasant remarks from a section of critics because of the kidish lyrics from Eddy Kenzo and MC Africa as some sent “R.I.P” comments to the jam. Before the remix, the songs success was attributed to the viral “It’s a Friday” social media videos by MC Africa who later on got the chance to meet his idol Pia
However, with time some started loving the song and it gained steam going on to top music charts.
The elated singer who just recently grauduated from International University of East Africa (IUEA) with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration could not hide her excitement upon getting the notification from the music streaming App.
Over the weekend, the she took to her socials to make a public announcement of how her ‘Tupaate’ video had reached 1 million views on YouTube.
“We just hit our first 1m views on YouTube,” she wrote on Facebook. Kenzo as well congratulated her upon the new feat.
