Police raids Levels Lounge arrests 36 revelers for flouting Covid19 rules

Wednesday 9th June, 2021 saw Kampala Metropolitan Police raid Levels Lounge bar and restaurant in Kamwokya arresting 36 revelers for flouting Covid19 restrictions.

The arrested included 14 women and 22 Men who are currently being detained at Kiira Road Police Station and are expected to appear before court either today or tomorrow.

The 36 arrested revelers will charged with the case of the act of spreading a likely infectious disease Covid19.

The raid on Level Lounge and arrest of the 36 revelers was confirmed by Police Assistant spokesman Luke Owoyesigyire via the Uganda Police Twitter handle.

50 other people were also arrested from the Garage Bar located in Ntinda Kigowa after a tipoff. They are currently detained at different police stations in the division and will also be arraigned in court today for fines.
