Rachel Akusa, born April 28 in Togo, is an artist from the Togolese diaspora.
She is a daughter to Kokou Akusa and Stella Adoboe who grew up in a family passionate about music.
Rachel pursued her studies in the United States, obtaining an Associate Degree in Communication at Montgomery College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication at the University of Maryland College Park.
Rachel started singing in her church choir at age 12. She also learned to play the violin, trumpet, and piano.
Her musical career officially began on March 20, 2021 with the release of her first single titled, “You are Mighty” .
She recently released an amazing song with her sister Esther Akusa called “Everything To Me”.

Her source of inspiration to do music
Rachel is inspired by Togolese gospel figures like John and Gifty, Madame Abitor, Maman Noelie Elykem La Messagère, and Mawuto Tetey.
Besides music, Rachel Akusa is a writer and founder of the Golden Discoveries Foundation, which supports pregnant women and orphanages.
Books Written
Her books include ”Queen Fafali of the Kingdom of Kuma”, ”The Unwanted Prince”, and “The Prophecy of the Empress” which are available in French, English, and Spanish.
She plans to drop more inspiring and praising music to inspire the young generation as she passes on the gospel through preaching via music.
