Stanley Ntagali pleads for forgiveness for committing adultery

Former Archbishop Emeritus of Church of Uganda, Stanley Ntagali, has repented and requested forgiveness for committing adultery with Rev Christopher’s wife Judith.

Ntagali apologized for his wrong deeds at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Namirembe, as Church of Uganda marked 60 years of self-governance.

I ask Rev Christopher, his wife Judith, and the two families to forgive me. I want to focus on eternity because one day I will stand before the Lord to account for my life on earth.

After pleading for forgiveness, Ntagali openly told the congregation of how he got saved and became a strong Christian since Christmas Eve of 1974 but he got tempted, weakened in faith, and fell into sin.

Ntagali informed the congregation that he has since confessed and concealed himself in prayer seeking pardon and guidance from God.

He also said that he is turning to his brothers and sisters in faith to find a place in their hearts to forgive him.
