Tamale Mirundi Junior, son of one of the most controversial political analysts, the late Tamale Mirundi Senior has been issued with stringent conditions following being banished from the ‘Nkima’ clan.

In a meeting convened by some of the clan leaders and members of the Nkiima Clan, Tamale Mirundi Junior was not only disowned but also ordered to stop using the ‘Mirundi’ family name going forward.

He was also warned never to step into the compound of their uncle Ssali John Ssembuya’s home located in Bunamwaya, not to have any relations with any of the children or grandchildren of the deceased, or even claim any properties inherited by the uncle.

Tamale Mirundi Junior was also banned from accessing the clan home in Kalagala, Kalisiizo and there was a direction that neither he nor his children or grandchildren would ever be buried at the family ancestral grounds.

This tough decision comes a month after the former presidential press secretary and senior presidential adviser on media was laid to rest. Tamale Mirundi Snr. was known for his bold and raw statements directed at numerous people, including the Katikiro Of Buganda Owek. Charles Peter Mayega and the kingdom alike.

Before his death, he had vowed never to apologize for his statements, forcing his son to follow in his footsteps. In his absence, the family sought to mend their severed ties with the kingdom by visiting the palace and tendering an official apology.

When he got the news, Tamale Mirundi Jr. who did not participate was so furious and appeared on his social media channels calling out his family members for allegedly betraying his late father and going against his words.
