Tugenda Mu Kikadde Regional Tour Kicksoff In Mbarara, Dates And Venue Confirmed

The annual Tugende Mu Kikadde is back and the 2023 edition promises to be bigger and better.

This time around the annual event will start off with a regional tour that is aimed at transversing all the regions in Uganda.

The western region is blessed that the tour is getting underway from Mbarara on Saturday, May 13th, 2023 at the Hotel Triangle.

For starters, ‘Tugande Mu Kikadde’, is a Luganda loosely translated to mean ‘Back to Roots’ which has given life and a platform for legends in a memorable VVIP treat and experience for the past five years.

The event was established to celebrate legendary artists that dominated the Ugandan musical scene in the early 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.

The event gives a platform to veteran musicians who have the desire to amaze crowds again but don’t have the resources and know-how.

In the past editions, we have seen talented ancient artists like Afrigo Band, Fred Ssebatta, Chance Nalubega, Mariam Ndagire, Kabuye Sembogga, Halima Namakula, Madoxx Ssematimba, Willy Mukabya, Angela Kalule, Sweet Kid, Akiiki Romeo, Ziggy Dee, Lady Mariam Tindatine, Abdul Mulasi, and many others take center stage in the event to give fans the best of their craft and no one has doubted their talent.

For a while, partygoers in different regions have been clamoring to have the Tugende Mu Kikadde event held at their regional convenience.

This compelled the ‘Tugende Mu Kikadde’ organizers to respond positively to old music lovers’ outcries, taking the event closer to them starting with Mbarara.

After the Mbarara edition, the ‘Tugende Mu Kikadde’ Masaka and Kampala editions will be launched immediately.

Tickets will go for Ugx20,000 ordinary, Ugx50,000, and VIP Ugx1000,000 for a platinum table. While using MTNMomo, an ordinary Ticket is discounted to Ugx15,000 while through Standbic Flexi pay VIP Ticket is at 40,000. In the same vein, gates will open at 3 pm and the dress code is ‘Enjwaala Yenkola Yiila’
