Unveiling: Meet Gulu’s Fast-rising singer Mixola

Gulu-based promising singer Olara Samuel, professionally known as Mixola, is aiming to get his music career to the next level.

The talented singer is believed to be one of Uganda’s finest artists from Gulu-town.

He is poised to make Gulu-city more popular through his music works and he has a collaboration with the Kyabazinga of R&B Ronald Maro titled “Wezinire” which went viral across East Africa and Africa.

Mixola has a trending song dubbed “New Normal” that has pretty faired well on many music streaming platforms and garnered massive air rotation from the Northern part of Uganda.

Mixola was born in 1995 in Gulu in Northern Uganda. He is the second born in a family of eight children.

He attended his primary level at Christ Church primary in Gulu, then went to Janan School for “O” level and finished “A” level at Wits College.

He then joined Kampala International University and Stafford University. Mixola started singing in senior one, inspired by the likes of Chris B, Chris Martin, and Sean Paul..!.. Etc.

The “Karacel” singer acquired the stage name Mixola because of his mix of actions, dance, dress codes, and music which earned him the Nickname Mix.

He then fused it with his surname Olara by putting together Mix and Ola, therefore, creating Mixola.

Mixola is currently working on an EP featuring a lot of artists from across Africa that will surprise you.

Mixola works with Janny Media boss DJ Janny P as the promotions manager.
