WCB and Tanzania’s songbird, Zuchu has achieved another career milestone after making a new record on a Chinese-owned streaming service, Boomplay.
Zuchu who was named by Salama Jabir as the greatest female songwriter of all time in Tanzania is now the second most-streamed female on Boomplay.
Zuchu has so far amassed 76.4 Million streams on Boomplay making her the most-streamed East African female artist of all time.
Zuchu has now become the second most-streamed female artist in Africa after Nigeria’s Simi who is 200k streams away to reach 100 Million streams, making Simi the first female artist to enter Boomplay’s Golden club.
On Boomplay, Zuchu holds the record of having the second most-streamed song of all time by a Tanzanian artist with “Sukari”, and also her debut EP titled ‘I Am Zuchu‘ holds the record of being the second most-streamed EP in Tanzania after Diamond Platnumz’s “First Of All”.
