Singer Michael Mugwanya alias King Michael, also known as DJ Michael, wants to settle the debate between him and Ziza Bafana concerning who owns the crown of dancehall in the Pearl of Africa.
In doing so, the now-defunct Dancehall crew president, King Michael has dared Ziza Bafana to a music battle.
This is after both artists have over the years been claiming to be the “gods” of dancehall music in Uganda but King Michael now wants to put the debate to bed through a live music battle.
During a TV interview, King Micheal boldly called out Ziza Bafana, urging him to be courageous and participate in a music battle to determine the true king.
“If Ziza Bafana thinks he is the king of dancehall, he should step up for a practical music session, and let the fans crown the real king”
Music battles have gained popularity recently, following the successful showdown between Sheebah and Cindy at Kololo Airstrip last month.
This trend has sparked the interest of other musicians, including Bebe Cool and Chameleone, King Saha, and Eddy Kenzo, as well as Catherine Kusasira and Maureen Nantume, who have all expressed their desire to participate in music battles.
