Singer Ronald Maro hospitalized following a nasty accident

Ugandan singer Maro, real name Ronald Magada, is fighting for his life after a serious car accident in Zambia.

Reports indicate that the vehicle he was traveling in was severely damaged, and the artist is currently in a coma.

No official updates have been released on his social media platforms at the time of writing.

Maro, born on May 7, 1987, in Buwolero, Jinja District, has been a prominent figure in Uganda’s music scene since he launched his career in 2007.

He rose to fame in 2010 with the hit “Toneraga” featuring Empress and Mikie Wine. His success continued with the release of singles like “Sulabulungi” and the Lusoga-language hit “Biweewo.”

Maro’s music career, influenced by artists such as Kenn Rogers, Dolly Parton, and Don Williams, has earned him a large following.

He signed with West End Entertainment in 2011, and his 2013 song “Genda Ewamwe” marked a major milestone, leading to his first concert at Freedom City.

Growing up, Maro was raised by stepmothers after his biological mother left when he was three. His father, James Magada, is a police officer, and his mother, Janet Babuleka, was a singer in a church choir.

Maro’s education included various schools, with his most notable being Makerere University, where he graduated in 2015 with a degree in Development Studies.

Known for his collaborations with artists like Maurice Kirya, Navio, and international acts such as Mark Forster, Maro is best known for hits like “Mubbi Bubbi” featuring David Lutalo and “Rising Star.”
