Ugandan socialite Don Chris is now officially wanted by the police in connection with a major scam that has left dozens of Ugandans financially devastated.
For years, Don Chris lived a life most could only dream of. Flashy cars, VIP appearances, and frequent collaborations with Uganda’s top entertainers — he was a regular in Kampala’s nightlife and social events.
His company, Skypins Tours and Travels, quickly gained attention for sponsoring music shows and flashy social campaigns, positioning itself as a gateway to “life-changing job opportunities abroad.”
But behind the glitz and glamour, something sinister was brewing.
Skypins Tours and Travels, which recently opened new offices in Entebbe with pomp and media buzz, promised desperate job seekers well-paying positions in countries such as Luxembourg, the UK, Dubai, Qatar, and Canada.
The company advertised extensively in trusted media outlets, gaining public trust and traction.
Unfortunately, for many Ugandans who trusted the company, the promises never materialized.
Reports began emerging from individuals who claimed they had paid significant amounts — in some cases millions of shillings — to secure overseas jobs, only to be left in the cold. No jobs. No refunds. No accountability.
