Comedienne Anne Kansiime has opened up about the broken relationship with her baby daddy, Skylanta, noting that it happened years before they finally let it out.
Anne Kansiime noted that she made the breakup public last month when she shared a quote with a caption insinuating that the day had come for her to take the bold step and concentrate on herself.
While addressing the new chapter in her life, the comedienne revealed that the breakup happened about two years ago, as Anne Kansiime mentioned before.
Kansiime explained that this happened after she became a mother and started expecting a lot from her baby daddy, things that could not do initially.
“The intense romantic connection we had before we got him is not what we are doing right now. It came from me wanting to be everything I can be for our son, focus, and do it with someone willing to do it with me for our son. When you meet someone, there is a relationship you cultivate. When I got him, I was treating him as a kantu.
After I got my son, I started expecting a lot from him, which he did not; I changed, and the kind of love I wanted changed. I became a different person and wanted to be loved differently which he was not going to do after being a man,” she said.

Kansiime further notes that they are now focusing on raising their son, Selassie, together and they both have permission to date whoever they want.
“We decided to focus on our son and we are peacefully doing that together. He can date who he wants and same as me; we just haven’t had the chance to,” Kansiime revealed.
Explaining the effect of their separation, Anne Kansiime revealed that the decision hurt them so much as a couple and they went through a difficult phase in their lives.
“It hurt us so much, we went through a phase that showed you that we do not stay together during the reality show; we just visit, and he visits us in Kampala too. We passed through that phase where hearts were broken and feelings were hurt but it’s hard to understand,” Kansiime said.
