Ugandan gospel singer Baby Gloria, born Gloria Mulungi Senyonjo, is preparing to take a major step in her life—marriage!
The beloved singer, who grew up in the limelight for her powerful voice and strong Christian values, recently held her traditional kwanjula (introduction) ceremony with her fiancé, Mbaleka Jonas.
The event, held on Friday, was attended by close family and friends and marked a significant cultural and spiritual milestone for the couple.

But what truly caught the media’s attention was a touching and bold statement made by Gloria’s mother, veteran gospel artist Betty Nakibuuka.
Speaking to the press after the ceremony, Nakibuuka proudly shared that her daughter is entering marriage as a virgin, honoring both her upbringing and their Christian beliefs.
“Gloria is a virgin. I told her I wanted her to get married like how I did. I got married when I was a virgin, and I tell all my girls to follow the same,” Nakibuuka revealed.
As part of the cultural tradition, Jonas presented a goat—a symbolic gesture often tied to purity and respect in certain Ugandan customs—during the kwanjula.
Beyond the celebration, Nakibuuka used the moment to offer encouragement to other young women:
“Even if you messed up in the past, don’t lose hope. You can still choose a better path going forward,” she said, urging youth to embrace second chances and value self-respect.
Fans of Baby Gloria, who has been a beacon of inspiration through her music and personal life, have taken to social media to congratulate the couple and praise her commitment to faith and family values.
As Gloria prepares to walk down the aisle, she carries with her not only the blessings of her family but also the admiration of a generation watching her live out her faith in action.
