Caroline Marcah, a prominent Ugandan media personality, has made serious allegations regarding systemic exploitation in Uganda’s television industry.
In an emotional revelation, Marcah claimed that many jobs in the country’s media sector are secured through sexual favors rather than merit.
“Ugandan Television Jobs are sexually transmitted,” Marcah declared. “The jobs are given to people who offer sex; the competent ones aren’t offered jobs if they don’t give sex to the bosses.”
Her statements have sparked conversations across social media and the entertainment industry, with many expressing concern over what appears to be a deeply rooted problem in Ugandan media houses.
Marcah stated that this practice is not isolated but rather widespread, implicating multiple television companies.
She asserted that top-level executives are aware of this unethical system and, in some cases, may even perpetuate it.
