Recently, singer David Lutalo shared a story about a fan who poured alcohol on him before he performed, causing him to feel embarrassed and upset.
Lutalo learned to always bring a second outfit when performing to avoid such incidents. He now always brings a second outfit to performances to avoid such situations.
“A fan poured alcohol on me upon seeing me for the first time claiming to love me so much yet I was the next on stage”, he said in an interview
When asked about his retirement plan from the music industry, he revealed he plans to switch from secular to gospel music.
He explained his intentions of switching from secular to gospel music saying he looks forward to improving his bond with Jesus Christ.
Last weekend, David Lutalo held a successful concert as he marked 15 years in the music industry that was held at Kampala Serena Hotel.
He rose to fame ten years back with his hit Kapapaala in 2008, released under his own Record Label “Da Hares”. He started recording music in 2008 and has several solo songs to his name as well as several collaborations with Eddy Kenzo, Bebe Cool, and Goodlyfe Crew, Solid Star.
Lutalo is known by Uganda‘s music audiences for his distinct, high-toned, sharp voice which has made him a favorite among rural and urban Ugandans. He has been rated in some circles as the unofficial Ugandan musician of the year in 2014.
In 2013, Lutalo joined hands with Mowzey Radio and Weasel of Goodlyfe Crew and they produced Hellena song. In 2014, he collaborated with a young musician Maro, Mubbi Bubi. David Lutalo released the song “Kabisi Ka Ndagala” video.
