INVITATION FOR A MEETING REGARDING VULGAR CONTENT

Greetings from the Uganda National Cultural Centre (UNCC)

In the capacity of our mandate, which is to preserve, promote, and popularise art and culture locally and internationally, I am delighted to invite you for a meeting scheduled for Monday 9th December 2024 at the National Theatre at 10:00 am.

The main purpose of this meeting is to have a dialogue about your vulgar content produced and promoted like Okwepicha, Enyama, Doozi, and Omunio the latest release, and Enkudi, Ensujju for Lil Pazo Lunabe. All this content does not align with Ugandan norms, culture, and the creative sector as a whole.

Kindly endeavor to attend in person for the betterment and sustainability of the creative sector for future generations.

Yours faithfully,

Phina Mugerwa a.k.a Masanyalaze.”

Without a doubt, these two musicians have taken a very controversial path in regard to their music careers. Their songs contain vulgar lyrics that are detrimental to society, especially to their younger audiences.
