Singer Joan Namugerwa, known as Jowy Landa, has pleaded for Gen. Salim Saleh’s financial assistance to pay for her hospitalized brother’s medical bills.
Her brother has been bedridden for five months and unable to move any of his body parts after being involved in a fight with his friends.
Jowy Landa has spent nearly Shs1m per day on ICU treatment, which has become too much of a financial burden for her.
She has had to spend all her savings on his treatment, but improvements have been slow, with her brother only able to move his eyes.
“My brother has spent five months in a hospital bed where he is unable to do anything on his own. I reached a moment when I was too stressed and couldn’t release new music anymore. I have had to pay Shs1m almost every day for ICU. I had to spend all my savings on his treatment because I am the breadwinner at home. He was involved in a fight with his friends and was beaten until he blacked out. I pray he recovers soon because he only opens his eyes but can’t move any of his body parts”, Jowy Landa expressed in an interview.
