Ugandan songstress Jowy Landa recently gave fans a rare glimpse into her personal life, revealing a near-romantic encounter with fellow artist Grenade Official — a man whose charm, she says, is both magnetic and dangerous.
During a candid interview with Galaxy Television, Jowy didn’t shy away from naming names. She admitted that sparks flew during a music collaboration with Grenade Official, known as much for his romantic escapades as for his music.
The chemistry between them reportedly intensified during long hours spent together promoting their song, from media tours to live shows and behind-the-scenes moments.
“I nearly dated an artist, but God saved me. Grenade—I nearly fell in love with him, but God saved me. I think he had different women. It started when we did the collaboration,” Jowy Landa confessed.
Grenade Official, who has released a modest number of songs in his career, is rumored to have been romantically linked to more women than tracks on his discography. This reputation continues to shadow him.
His smooth words and boyish charm have made him a heartthrob in Uganda’s entertainment circles, and apparently, Jowy was almost added to that growing list.
However, it wasn’t heartbreak that ended things before they began. It was intuition.
Jowy revealed she backed out before anything serious could happen, driven by a gut feeling — and a lack of trust in artists altogether.
“I can never date an artist. We are not trustworthy people; I can’t imagine dating someone I can’t trust. We are cheats,” she added bluntly.
This isn’t the first time Jowy Landa’s love life has made headlines. She has previously been rumored to have had a fling with Pallaso, another Ugandan music heavyweight.
But Jowy has consistently denied those claims, insisting that her relationship with Pallaso was strictly business and nothing more.
As fans continue to speculate, one thing is clear: Jowy Landa may be young and in the limelight, but she’s choosing caution over chaos when it comes to love, especially in an industry where trust is hard to come by.
