Mr. Lenny, a veteran Kenyan musician, has been plunged into mourning following the demise of his father.

The artiste announced the demise of his father, Leonard Wanganga, on his social media platforms.

The Kenyan crooner’s father had been ill for several years, as he had been in and out of hospital seeking treatment.

“Our dad has been unwell the better part of this year,” Lenny said as he highlighted the various diseases his father suffered from, including stroke.

The vocalist added two months ago, Wanganga suffered a severe heart attack and was admitted to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) Private Wing.

He was discharged after a month and a half, but a few days later, he was readmitted due to low blood pressure.

Both times, we almost lost him. The second admission did not go well, and he finally rested on Sunday, September 29, at 7 am due to organ failure.

He is resting at the KNH mortuary, and we cannot move him until we clear the hospital bill.

We kindly request that you assist us in raising funds to offset the hospital bills and give him a decent send-off,” he added.

Social media users headed to the comment section to console the grieving family with encouraging messages.
