Renowned Ugandan pastor and gospel artist Wilson Bugembe has once again made headlines—not for his music or sermons, but for opening up about his personal life and ongoing search for a life partner.
During a candid interview with Galaxy Television, the beloved city preacher revealed that he would have no problem marrying a Muslim woman, as long as she is God-fearing.
Bugembe, who has publicly spoken about his desire to settle down, shared that his admiration and respect for Muslims stem from years of genuine support and shared values.

“I am okay with marrying a Muslim woman,” he stated. “They are good people and have helped me a lot throughout the years. I am fortunate with them and enjoy a good relationship; even in Nansana, they contributed to the construction of the church.”
The preacher’s comments highlight his inclusive view of faith and interreligious relationships.
He emphasized that both Muslims and Christians are religious people, united by their reverence for God. For Bugembe, character and faithfulness to God matter more than religious labels.
However, the pastor drew the line when it came to other belief systems. “I would not consider marrying a traditionalist or a devil worshipper,” he clarified, calling such paths “unholy.”
Bugembe’s openness is both refreshing and controversial in a region where interfaith relationships can still be a delicate subject.
Yet, his message is clear: faith, love, and mutual respect should be the foundation of any relationship.
As he continues his journey to find a partner, Bugembe remains hopeful and rooted in his values, looking for a woman who shares his love for God, whether Christian or Muslim
