Winnie Nwagi, a Swangz Avenue singer, has expressed her view that today’s Church is too dramatic and judgmental, which is why she doesn’t often attend.
She finds it more comfortable to pray at home, where she can sing praise and worship songs in her mini-skirts.
Winnie Nwagi went ahead to criticize the modern churches saying she finds some as a comedy show because whenever she is watching their services on TikTok, the congregation is always laughing to every sentence that the preacher makes.
“For example me, you won’t find me at church every Sunday but I always talk to God even when I am on a road trip am always talking to God. I don’t need to show everyone that I know God because he knows and I know Him too. I can decide to praise and worship in a mini-skirt in my house. I do not look at society when I am talking about God. The society has many fake people. The Church today is very dramatic. You be there watching TikTok and you see the people attending the service just laughing as if they went to a comedy show. Every sentence makes them laugh so I find it comfortable to pray from home”, Winnie Nwagi
Azawi also claimed that people who act holy can be the worst people to deal with.
