Local rapper Gravity Omutujju has opened up about the recent show flops he experienced during his “Embaga Ya Isma N’Amina” concert in September.
He revealed that the main show at Lugogo Cricket Oval was a huge flop, and his extra show in Masaka was also a flop that almost sent him into depression.
“I can never forget the 7th of September in my life about the ‘Embaga Ya IsmaN’Amina’ concert I had at Lugogo Cricket Oval. That show was a huge flop. I didn’t get the turn-up that I expected. Even the extras that I had, were crowned by the Masaka extra show. The show was also a flop that almost sent me into depression.” – Gravity Omutujju stated in an interview
Fortunately, the other extra shows in Mbarara and Jinja treated him fairly since music lovers turned up in overwhelming numbers.
Despite the poor turnout, Gravity maintains that he won’t back off from his tradition of staging concerts annually.
He also weighed in on Eddy Kenzo’s recent appointment as the Senior Presidential Advisor on creatives saying there is nothing Kenzo can advise President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni about art.
Gravity only congratulated Kenzo saying he only earned himself a job where he is assured of a monthly salary.
