Kapa Cat, born Catherine Tumusiime, is a recording and performing dancehall artist who regrets ever meeting talent manager Karma Ivien.
In May 2023, the two entered in a work-related marriage and Kapa got signed to a music label which was being managed by Karma Ivien and Arafat Baddest.
However, their work relationship did not last long as every expected and they called it off not even half midway.
The singer has since revealed that she gained nothing from the management and regrets the time she spent there.
She explained that Karma Ivien did not assist her with music production or promotion.
Kapa Cat adds that Karma Ivien did not prioritize her as an artist, instead focused on his other businesses leaving her languishing and struggling.
“I didn’t gain anything from Karma Ivien’s management. He just wanted to ruin my career. I had to leave and come back home for my own good,” Kapa Cat said in an interview with a local television station.
It should be noted that Kapa Cat is now managed by Tuff Music, the same group that introduced her to the music scene.
During that moment, she faced lots of challenges including failing to meet her rent arrears.
She ended up reportedly returning to her parents home and that is where she regained ground and hit the stage running again.
