Radio 4 Uganda Employees Celebrate Balaam’s appointment Minister of Gender

It has been an evening of bliss and jubilate at Ntinda-based Radio 4 Uganda as the media outlet employees celebrated their boss Balaam Barugahare Atenyi on his new role in the Uganda government.

The celebrations took place following the station boss, Balaam Barugahare Atenyi, being appointed as the Minister of State for Gender, Labor, and Social Development for Children and Youth Affairs.

Balaam Barugahare’s appointment follows President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s recent reshuffle that he made on Thursday evening where some Ministers were dropped and others earned big positions.

He was rewarded for the restless and unwavering support he has over the years shown the president by supporting the ruling government NRM to stay in power.

Balaam has been one of the strongest people in backing the First Son, Gen. Muhoozi Kaneirugaba in the formation of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) pressure group that is eyeing to capture power in the latter years to come.

The First Son was also appointed as the CDF in the reshuffle. The appointment is a big position for Balaam and he revealed that he is the first person in his family to get a government job.

During his speech, he promised to do a lot for the Youth since he was appointed to be in control of Children and Youth Affairs. He further promised that he would call for the release of the imprisoned political prisoners who were jailed during the 2021 general elections.
