Information reaching our news desk reveals comedy duo of Madrat and Chiko was reportedly arraigned before the Mengo court over failure to settle a debt amounting to Ugx 50M.
The update regarding the pair being arraigned before the court was spread by media personality Jenkins Mukasa during a YouTube talk show that analyzes local entertainment.
It is reported that the duo acquired money worth Ugx 50M to invest in one of their shows recently and had to pay after the show turned out successful.
However, ever since the show was done, the pair failed to honor the payment agreement, which compelled the money lender to drag them to the courts of law to seek legal action so that they would pay his money back.
Based on how far the matter has reached, it seems like the show did not turn out well and when Madrat and Chiko were arraigned before the court, the pair pleaded for a revised agreement.

They furthermore asked for an extended period to get the remaining balance to settle the debt.
The lender was compliant, as she approved their request, and they are currently working tirelessly to gather the money to settle the loan.
In the meantime, it is said that the pair are willing to work at a gig given the fact that the money would come in to gather and clear the debt that they are choking on.
Madrat and Chiko is one of the longest-serving comedy duo in the country has been enjoying its comedy for more than five years and has been at the top of its game all the while.
