Uganda Police is seriously hunting one Edward Kaweesi on allegations of being an LGBTQ Community Pride Movement affiliate.
Kaweesi, who is at the moment on the run and so far no one knows about his whereabouts, is accused of promoting and practicing LGBTQ Community activities around the areas where he resides.
His residence community has accused him of introducing and inducting young adults into the habit of homosexuality that goes against African tradition and culture. For one to practice and promote such behaviors is taboo in the community.
The punishment for the promotion of such activities calls for the death penalty. Having learned of the sentence that is at hand, Kaweesi has since gone missing and the Police are doing everything possible to get him arrested and charged.
The Police have staked a big reward for anyone who locates and avails Kaweesi to the authorities.
The reports allegedly further reveal that Kaweesi had recruited several young adults into the homosexuality habit through the various private parties he always organized.
Kaweesi’s involvement in LGBTQ community activities is reportedly said to have started at school and has continued expanding slowly but surely.
