The group traveled to Barcelona on Thursday and arrived safely. Based on the updates we have so far gathered, the group took a stroll around and explore the Estadi Johan Cruyff and the City Sports Joan Gamper facilities.

The kids have also grabbed news headlines in some of the Spanish print media papers as they all looked jolly and thrilled to visit Barcelona. The group is likely to spend a week in Spain before they return to Uganda, Masaka to resume their normal studies.

Some of the benefits that the Masaka Kids Africana children are likely to earn from the trip are connections to big brands and sponsorships in terms of scholarships to help them further their studies from primary school to secondary.

They have often traveled to different countries performing but this time around a trip to Estadi Olimpic is a different feeling to them that they are set to enjoy and celebrate since it comes once in a lifetime.

“We are thrilled to welcome Masaka Kids Africana. They reached out to us a few months ago seeking our support and to share their project with us. They are a community-driven initiative that provides education, healthcare, dance, and sports to children from impoverished families and orphans,” shared Marta Segú, the director of the Barça Foundation.
