Veteran singer Halimah Namakula has disclosed how she lost her dear husband and father to her children years ago.
Speaking in an interview with Spark TV’s Mwasuze Mutya show, she said they had met when she was young at the age of 15, dated, and fell in love. Their love grew to the extent of having four children, three boys, and a girl.
The singer rarely speaks about her private life especially that involving her late husband. She usually talks about the children and her successful life.
According to Halima Namakula, her husband was a member of Parliament from Kalangala district identified as Mr. Samuel Semaala, who relocated to the USA. She said the man had money and he had moved to the United States Of America.
Halima Namakula adds that her husband died in a boat fire as he was traveling to the village to check on his people. She didn’t marry again, she focused on raising children.
He took her and all the children and that is why she is always traveling to check on her children and the grandchildren all over there.
