Cafe Bravo reduced to ashes following a fire outbreak

Cafe Bravo, an eatery hangout at Uganda House in Kampala’s heart, has burned to ashes this morning.

The cause of the fire outbreak has not yet been established since Police are still carrying out investigations to affirm and come up with a full report concerning the cause of the fire.

Based on the statement released by the Assistant Superintendent of Police and the Deputy Police Spokesperson, Kampala Metropolitan, Luke Owoyesigyire, disclosed that the fire broke out at around 5 am and immediately caught the restaurant reducing it to ashes.

The efforts to shut down the fire that has turned Cafe Bravo restaurant into ashes came through but a little bit late as most of the property had been damaged to no recognition.

“Today, April 5th, 2024, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Services responded to a fire outbreak at Cafe Bravo Restaurant, located at Uganda House on Kampala Road. The fire, suspected to have ignited around 5 am, swiftly engulfed the restaurant premises. Our dedicated team from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Services promptly arrived at the scene and successfully contained the fire before it could spread further throughout the building. However, significant damage to the property ensued. Investigations into the cause of the fire outbreak are currently underway, with investigators actively gathering evidence at the scene to aid in determining the root cause. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or fatalities resulting from the incident. Further updates will be provided as soon as additional information becomes available”, Luke Owoyesigyire.

As we wait for Police further report about the fire, it should be recalled that the owner of the eatery passed on about a year ago so we are uncertain whether it could be worked on and return into operation.
